Citing the importance to economic growth in the New England region, The New England Council today called on Congress to support Permanent Normal Trade Relation status for China and support its entry into the World Trade Organization.

The New England Council is an alliance of large and small companies, educational and non-profit institutions and agencies located throughout New England. The group, formed in 1925, is the country's oldest regional business organization and works closely with the New England Congressional delegation.
