Independent Serbian journalist Miroslav Filipovic faces charges of espionage for filing damning reports on the Yugoslav military to the London-based Balkans Crisis Reports.
This morning, May 11, Filipovic was transferred from a prison in his hometown of Kraljevo to a military prison in Nis. The military prosecutor in the city of Nis is to consider whether he should stand trial for his exposes. The charge carries the death penalty.
