May 7--Soccer exerts a magnetic pull as first one family member and then another is drawn into the sport.
Jonathan Ronayne, an 11-year-old fifth-grader at Aberdeen Roncalli, started playing in the under-6 league. At first, parents Rob and Liza, sister Rebecca and brother Michael cheered from the sidelines.
When Rebecca entered the sport, she brought her mom along as a coach.
Liza learned about her new role when Cathy Jacobson, officer manager for the city association, called to tell her that she was listed as a coach for Rebecca's team. While Liza had talked to Tami Zerr, another soccer parent, about volunteering to coach, neither had taken it ...
