The FCC on Sept. 15 decided to maintain the spectrum cap at 45 MHz in the U.S. urban markets. Following is a statement, in part, by PCIA President Jay Kitchen about that decision:
"We are extremely pleased that the FCC has decided to keep the 45 MHz spectrum cap in place in all major markets. The PCS industry is only three years old, and in many areas these companies have yet to attract their first customer.
