Article: US toxic waste sails to Pacific.

TOKYO, May 13 (UPI)

A U.S. cargo ship loaded with toxic waste, including about 100 tons of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) that was stored at a U.S. military facility in Japan, will leave Saturday for Wake Island, a U.S. territory in the Pacific.

The ship returned to Japan on April 18 after its arrival was rejected at Vancouver Port, Canada, and at Seattle, earlier last month. The vessel left Yokohama on March 23 after being loaded with the toxic waste from a U.S. Army supply depot in Sagamihara.
