Sony Electronics today announced its new VAIO Slimtop(TM) PCV-L640, the latest version of the popular and stylish desktop PC line that enhances the personal computing experience, as well as the desktop environment.

In addition to the Intel(R) Pentium(R) III 700MHz(1) processor and the recently announced MovieShaker(TM) digital video editing application, the new Slimtop L640 is equipped with a CD-RW drive and an Ethernet port that enables high-speed Internet connection -- all at an estimated price of $2,599.(2)
