Students put masters of millennium to test.(Neighbor)

Was Charles Babbage more influential in the media arts and technology field than Bill Gates or Steve Case?

Middle school students at St. Anne School in Barrington thought so.

Sixth, seventh and eighth graders at the Catholic school presented nominees for "Most Influential of the Millennium" at an Academy Awards-style presentation last week that was the culmination of three months of work.

Sharing the spotlight were such recent and historical figures as Gen. George Patton, Leonardo Da Vinci, Walter Payton, Michael Jordan, Dr. Seuss and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
