May 18--ARLINGTON, Texas--It's not a landfill and it's not a prison, but no one wants one in their backyard.
Wal-Mart that is.
Especially not the 250 people who showed up at last night's Planning and Zoning Commission meeting to protest a proposal for a 208,000-square-foot Wal-Mart Supercenter on 29 wooded acres on the corner of U.S. 287 and Little Road.
The commission carried over the agenda item to the July 5 meeting in order to review a traffic study of the area being conducted by Wal-Mart administrators.
Many of those who attended the meeting took turns at the microphone to criticize the retail giant.
