LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany -- BASF Aktiengesellschaft announced today that it intends to expand its Global Commercial Paper Program from the current level of $2.3 billion to $4 billion to cover increased financing requirements.
A group of banks under the leadership of Citibank/Schroder Salomon Smith Barney is providing the necessary back-up line for the program.
The Global Commercial Paper Program gives BASF the opportunity to issue commercial paper in both the European and American money markets.
