A handful of distributors offer contract manufacturing services, but a notable one-Bell Microproducts-got out of the CM business last year. Bell sold its Quadrus contract manufacturing facility to focus on semiconductor, storage and computer product sales.
Many distributors don't want to offer contract manufacturing because they feel they would compete with contract manufacturing customers.
