The function of chain saw safety apparel is to reduce the severity of injury in the event of contact caused by a chain saw in motion. Everyone who operates a chain saw should wear the following recommended Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): leg devices; gloves; shirts; boots; head, face, and eye protection; and hearing protection.
Who & Why?
Who should be wearing chain saw protective clothing? Well anybody who uses a saw. Why? Because there is no minor chain saw accident. I'm not one for government regulations, but because of irresponsible individuals that wouldn't do the smart thing by protecting their employees, we now have OSHA regulations.
