We live in an age of hyperbole, time when adjectives are used so abundantly they lose their impact. Words such as genius and legend are so frequently employed we no longer pay much attention to their context. But once in a great while, one of these words hits the mark.
On 31 December 1999, the world of American mineralogy lost one of its best, in the person of Dr. Arthur Montgomery.
