NEW YORK-In a move that could spark the flat food-processor business, Cuisinart, in tandem with Williams-Sonoma, has launched here the first major redesign of its food processor, first introduced in 1973.
One of the salient features that Cuisinart has added to the new unit -- dubbed the PowerPrep Plus -- is the ability to prepare dough via an adjustment to the product's speed and the incorporation of a specially designed blade.
Also, Cuisinart has enlarged the feed tube to what it said is twice the size of tubes in other food processors on the market and has placed it on the front of the machine for added user convenience.
