May 22--I inspired a business. I couldn't be prouder if somebody named a building for me. It's pretty heady stuff.

Awhile back, I wrote a column bemoaning the inconvenience of oil changes. I used to make appointments at the dealership, located in what might as well be Timbuktu. They'd do the dreaded deed in less than 30 minutes, but counting the 20-minute trips to and fro, I lost at least an hour every three months. That's four precious hours a year, a life sentence for a full-time employee who cherishes every spare minute.

So I tried some of those "instant" oil change places. Invariably, I'd pull in behind four other cars. Nothing "instant" about that. ...
