DEREK BEVAN is hoping for a perfect send-off today at the Millennium Stadium.
Bevan, 52, is the world's leading referee, but today marks the end of a distinguished 28-year career which started when he took charge of a reserve match between Cwmgors and Trebanos in West Wales.
Bevan's final match in the middle will mark the first time he has taken charge of Wales, and he is one of the few people delighted tonight's hastily-arranged match against the French Barbarians is going ahead.
