He was neither spectacular nor disappointing in his first minicamp as the Vikings' starting quarterback. During five no-contact practices over the weekend, Daunte Culpepper displayed the rifle arm, the imposing physique and quick feet that got him drafted with the 11th pick of the 1999 NFL draft.
Beyond that, however, the Vikings know minicamp was nothing more than Culpepper's first step up a 20-foot ladder.
