Bakersfield property owners H.W. Lakeshore Pines Joint Venture and American Home Industries fear eminent-domain condemnation of their properties and demand fair and open review from the Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency for a new baseball stadium project, said group spokesman Dave Cross, president of American Home Industries.
The city of Bakersfield has seen the beginning of exciting redevelopment in its downtown area. The new Centennial Gardens Arena and Amtrak station are generating wide interest in further development.
