There was a time when nearly every Twins batter or prospect who approached the plate looked as if he might need a stepladder to hit a high fastball.
Kirby Puckett, Chuck Knoblauch, Matt Lawton and Jacque Jones - some of the Twins' best or most promising hitters in the mid-to-late '90s - are under 6 feet tall.
