Morgan's president keeps eye on present
David Bennett would love to vaporize the ghost of Morgan's Foods Inc.'s past.
Mr. Bennett is Morgan's Foods president and chief operating officer, a job he assumed in July after spending five years with PepsiCo Inc.'s Taco Bell unit. There, he last was a vice president who oversaw the Mexican fast-food chain's Chicago region, its largest.
In moving to Morgan's Foods, a Mayfield-based franchisee of Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants, Mr. Bennett came to a company that in the fiscal year ended last Feb. 28 posted earnings of $1.3 million, its first profit since fiscal 1983. In the fiscal three years in ...
