Sony Electronics' SuperLite(TM) VPL-CS1 LCD projector zoomed to the number-one position in February 2000's Reseller Tracking Service, the monthly survey of 50 leading professional AV dealers in North America conducted by Pacific Media Associates. After less that four full months of sales, this three-panel LCD projector model accounted for nearly eight percent of total sales in the sample, and a much larger share of compact projectors, the fastest-growing category, according to the Mountain View, Calif., research firm.
