1/3 Once again, the Mayo Clinic is the bridesmaid, but not the bride, in the latest ranking of the nation's best hospitals.
Mayo came in second behind Baltimore's Johns Hopkins Hospital in U.S. News & World Report's annual hospital survey, released today.
Hennepin County Medical Center, in Minneapolis, was the only other Minnesota hospital to make the magazine's list of the top 188 in the United States. The University of Minnesota's Fairview-University Hospital, usually a perennial presence in the rankings, was nowhere to be found this year.
