1/3 Soon after Sun Country Airlines became a scheduled carrier last month, airline consultant Steve Hendrickson flew Sun Country to San Francisco, paying hundreds of dollars less than he usually does on short business trips to the West Coast.
In the process, Hendrickson discovered that low-fare didn't mean no-frills. He said he felt pampered, as Sun Country flight attendants kept offering another drink and, after food was served, asked if anyone would like a second meal.
"That may be their ace in the hole," said Hendrickson, managing partner at Bloomington-based Kiehl Hendrickson Group. "They put personality into their service."
