1/3 Children's Hospitals and Clinics announced a deal Thursday to extend its specialty pediatric services into St. Cloud.
The company said it will establish a pediatric clinic at Allina Health System's new medical campus under development in the St. Cloud metro area.
The deal is one of several designed to take Children's facilities and doctors to areas outside south-central Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul, where its two flagship hospitals are located.
Children's recently discontinued talks to merge its operations with the pediatric services department at Fairview-University Medical Center, formerly the University of Minnesota Hospital.
