1/3 When Camille LeFevre decided she was going to stay in Minnesota for good, she put down roots - real roots.

In a concerted effort to learn about her surroundings, the St. Paul-based freelance writer researched, then wrote a couple of articles on Minnesota prairies and native prairie plants. The next thing she knew, she was not only putting prairie plants in her front yard, she was launching a quarterly newsletter devoted to prairies - ecology, heritage, restoration, preservation and gardening.
