1/3 KB Gear Interactive, the Eden Prairie consumer electronics marketer, seems like an odd candidate to be pushing the state of the art in digital cameras.
But KB Gear is marketing the $90 JamCam 2.0 digital camera, which is lowering the cost of digital photography using an advanced imaging chip from California-based Hewlett-Packard.
"The JamCam product is very successful, and is likely to sell so well during the holiday season that retailers could be sold out," said Tony Gikas, a senior research analyst for consumer technology at U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis.
