1/3 Dec. 30, Dec. 30, Dec. 30. That's the message that organizers of A Capital New Year celebration are trying to get out. The annual festival of music and art is usually on New Year's Eve, but organizers - thinking many people may want to stay home this Dec. 31 - moved it up a day.
Officials kicked off publicity for the event Thursday in Rice Park. Highlights will include:
All 100 events on 25 downtown stages will be indoors; in the past some were held in heated tents near Rice Park.
