1/3 An appraiser accused of being a key player in dozens of fraudulent real-estate deals has pleaded guilty to a federal fraud conspiracy charge and agreed to cooperate with federal investigators.
Donald G. Pelton of St. Paul entered his plea Tuesday before U.S. District Judge David Doty in Minneapolis. In the Twin Cities area, Pelton is the first major figure in the real-estate scam known as flipping to be charged and to plead guilty.
