In "The Gin Game," which opens in Minneapolis Tuesday, actress Julie Harris confronts old age and confining circumstances. But the five-time Tony Award-winner is also fighting the onslaught of time in real life - with her usual stateliness and wry sense of humor.
"I think about old age and death a lot, but they happen to other people," she said by telephone recently from Detroit, where she was preparing to go onstage. "I'm going to go on and on and on."
A survivor of breast cancer and three divorces, Harris stars with Charles Durning in D.L. Coburn's 1977 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, which opens Tuesday at the Historic State Theatre in Minneapolis. The ...
