Mark Andrew's polished-rosewood-paneled office on the 24th floor of the Hennepin County Government Center was dominated last week by a large yellow "HC General Services" waste container and stacks of cardboard file boxes. Packed inside the boxes were the plaques and well-meaning certificates of accomplishment that would characterize the office of one who had a 16-year career as a county commissioner.
Andrew, 48, is leaving the office, storing away a career in the public eye for the less-visible but more lucrative private sector.
