As the work day winds down, they begin trickling in, alone or in small groups. They're here to shake off the office, the warehouse, the classroom, to get a quick one in before heading home.
On a sleety night last week, Jon Erickson was hoping to finish two or three - loops, that is. Erickson, of Wyoming, Minn., wasn't whiling away happy hour - that transformation between work and home - in a bar. Instead, he was joining dozens of others who were cross-country skiing on lighted trails.
