"Good morning, Captain!"
That's how I used to start my days as a youngster, with Bob Keeshan on "Captain Kangaroo." That was then.
Now, the captain is back in "The All New Captain Kangaroo" on cable TV's Fox Family Channel. Although faces have changed, the characters remain the same. John McDonough has replaced Keeshan as the captain, and he brings a bit more jollity to the role.
The new show has spawned two recent CD-ROMs (PC or Mac) for preschoolers - Captain Kangaroo Life's First Lessons, Adventures 1 and 2, from much-lauded publisher Knowledge Adventure.
