Paul Newell Campbell, who acted on stage and screen, died at his Minneapolis home last week. He was 76.
Campbell was born in Washington, D.C.. He earned a bachelor of music degree from Grove City College in Grove City, Pa., in 1943. From there, he followed his lifelong dream to become a singer and moved to New York City.
"He wanted to be in show business, plain and simple," said Campbell's wife of nearly 32 years, Karlyn Kohrs Campbell.
From 1943 to 1946, Campbell appeared in several Broadway plays, including "Helen Goes to Troy," a comedy about the Trojan War, and "Marinka," a story about the heir of an Austrian emperor who falls in love with ...
