Article: Regents get mixed report on `U' grad rates; President Yudof expresses concerns about athletics' numbers, but also lauds "tremendous" progress among black students.(NEWS)

Graduation statistics for the Gophers men's basketball team are "disturbing," but they present a misleading picture of academic achievement for University of Minnesota athletes generally and for black students in particular, President Mark Yudof told the Board of Regents on Friday.

"We do have some problems here," Yudof said. "But we have a great, great story to tell. We have made tremendous progress."
