The impact of National Poetry Month on the poetry market is the equivalent of an elephant doing a cannonball into a kiddie pool. The beast is so large, its target so small, even the thought of the collision is enough to make you wince.
Such is the case as more than 50 publishers coordinate their poetry releases to coincide with National Poetry Month, which began April 1, flooding a comparatively small niche of the books market with nearly 200 new titles.
