In the 12-member police department's small suite of offices, the investigation of 12-year-old Cally Jo Larson's slaying is expanding - literally.
With nearly 20 city, county and state law-enforcement officers, plus support staff, working on the case, police expanded their operations this week into the small council chamber at City Hall.
Council meetings will be held in a conference room. "Our meetings aren't that well-attended anyway," Mayor John Clemons said with a shrug. "How we run the council meeting is pretty immaterial at this point."
