1/3 South Dakota's second fatal turkey hunting accident in three years - both involving Minnesotans killed by a rifle - likely will jump-start the debate in South Dakota over whether rifles should be banned from turkey hunting.
David Jones, 44, of Carlton, Minn., was shot and killed April 23 with a .223-caliber rifle by his 76-year-old father, Bernard Jones of Duluth. The elder Jones told authorities he was convinced he was shooting a turkey.
