1/3 Michael O'Keefe is probably the only human services commissioner in the nation to get a plug from his governor on David Letterman's late night TV show.
Of course, few governors hit the talk show circuit. Then again, few human service leaders hold master's degrees in nuclear physics and have been educational consultants with groups ranging from the Carnegie Foundation to the government of Yugoslavia.
Nor are there probably many commissioners who donned pink feather boas - a gag gift from former co-workers - after their appointments were announced.
