DALLAS _ If only Scott Thornton had a center.
Then, maybe we'd see what the scrappy winger could do.
Because that's how this game of hockey is played, right? You have to have chemistry, you have to have linemates, you have to have support. And right now Thornton is being hung out to dry.
Stars coach Ken Hitchcock tried to give Thornton some help in the third period of Game 3, moving him away from non-productive grinder Joe Nieuwendyk onto a line with playmaker Roman Lyashenko, but, alas, that didn't work.
It's a shame, too. Because Thornton's skill are really going to waste.
