EDITR'S NOTE: The ancient Puebloans did not leave a written record for their history. Archeologist gather some information by studying the cliff dwellings where the Puebloans lived. The study of pottery and tools, the trash piles, and the petroglyphs and pictographs that are found at the sites. Talking and working with modern-day Puebloans, who share some cultural similarities with the ancient Puebloans, also provides some answers to questions. Throughout thos issue, we have tried to provide as much specific information as possible. But we may never know all that we woud like about the cliff dwellers.
