New Australian domestic carrier Impulse Airlines has made its debut flight this morning (5 June) with a full aircraft.

The carrier will commence services out of Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne today and is expecting a steady start, with the first flight from Canberra fully booked.

Meanwhile, Gerry McGowan, Impulse Airlines' chairman, has told travellers to be wary of fares offered by Ansett and Qantas, which he claims will attempt 'try and give the perception that they are matching fares.'
