Tom Leedham is making his pitch to the Minnesota members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters this week, battling the tarnished image of his predecessor, Ron Carey, and the name recognition of his opponent, James Hoffa Jr., in the fight to become general president of the Teamsters.

He's also selling his local connections: Billie Davenport, president of 11,000-member Local 2000, which represents Northwest Airlines flight attendants, is on Leedham's slate as the candidate for international Teamster vice president.
