Where could that letter be? Mary West kept asking herself.

Bob West, her husband, had told her decades ago that he had written something for her to read after his death. He died at home in Minneapolis on Dec. 27, 1996, at the age of 85, and Mary West searched and searched but couldn't find Bob's letter. She came across carbon copies of many others of his letters to friends and family, but not the letter.
