Q - I own a collie and would like to join a local collie club. How can I find out about one?
A - The Collie Club of Minnesota meets once a month in various places. For meeting information call 651-452-2671.
According to member Pat Jung, collie owners meet to brainstorm and plan activities. The Collie Club of Minnesota sponsors conformation showings, obedience trials, herding and educational programs about the breed. Two specialty shows are held in January and May.
While some events such as breed-specific grooming techniques and fun matches are limited to collies and shelties, all breeds are welcome for microchip clinics and other activities.
