Wary about a possible business combination between Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines, the pilots' union at Continental will continue contract talks next week to address job security issues.
Meanwhile, leaders of the pilots' union at Northwest are expected to meet as early as next week in the Twin Cities area to receive an analysis from their own experts of the proposed combination. The Northwest Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) has the contractual authority to reject the deal.
