State pollution officials confirmed late Wednesday that about 125,000 gallons of manure spilled from a dairy feedlot in southern Olmsted County and entered the ground water and northern branch of the Root River. The Olmsted County Public Health Department issued a warning that 15 to 20 drinking-water wells in the vicinity may be contaminated and advised residents to use only bottled water for drinking, cooking, dishwashing and other consumption-related purposes.
