This year's Dayton's-Bachman's flower show is steeped in history. But if you don't tell the kids, they'll never know.
That's because this show also is full of fanciful creatures such as Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Pigling Bland and other long-loved characters from the pages of Beatrice Potter's turn-of-the-century children's books.
Dubbed "Beatrix Potter's A Storybook Spring," the show, in Dayton's Minneapolis store, brings to life not only the charming characters but also the English countryside that Potter called home.
