Some mysterious quality in an April breeze carries spring and migrant birds through the air, transforming the stark winter landscape slowly but inexorably into the lush greens of summer. But the April breeze has an impish streak, and can suddenly transform itself into a wintry blast, complete with blizzard or ice storm.
