It doesn't appear on the football field, or on the Vikings' income statement, but Minnesota Vikings Food Service Inc. is an asset rivaling John Randle or Brad Johnson in keeping the team competitive.
And it certainly will be a major factor in any deal author Tom Clancy - or anyone, for that matter - cuts for the team.
The Edina-based Vikings Food Service is the largest vending machine and cafeteria management company in the Twin Cities area, employing 500 full- and part-time employees and generating annual revenue of $35 million, said Larry Bittinger, its president.
