Jun. 6--ATLANTA--John Rocker has received a standing ovation just about every time he's pitched at Turner Field this year, but the patience of the Atlanta fans might be wearing thin.
A random sampling of Braves fans before Monday's game against Toronto found that most agreed with the team's decision to demote the reliever to triple-A Richmond.
"They need to trade him," said Paul Martin, 39, of Atlanta. "Not the minor leagues. They need to trade him."
"He can think what he wants to think," added Marietta native Lauren Lazenby, "but we pay him to play baseball and that's what he needs to do."
