The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) has issued the following recommendation to professionals based on the agreement reached between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and manufacturers of chlorpyrifos. "While the EPA has found no imminent public health threat from the continued use of products containing chlorpyrifos under the dictates of the agreement, the association advises professionals who continue to use existing stocks of products subject to EPA phase-out periods to fully advise customers of the facts of the agreement, and respect their wishes should they request an alternative pest management ...
